Types of Group Communication
Communication involves the ability to talk to others, to send a right message and to have a successful communication. People learn from little children how to manage in a conversation, but as we grow older we see that communication involves more than talking and saying some words. Communication is a two way process, it involves a sender, a receiver and a message. In order to have a successful communication people have to send the message clear.

The rules of communication are applied also in group communication. Communication can be done verbally as well as non verbally. People with communication skills know that non verbal communication is as important and the verbal one. Nonverbal is done through body language meaning, posture gestures face expression. The words that come out of our mouth should be in concordance with our gestures and face mimics. This is also applied in group communication.

Group communication is much harder because people are different and they are plenty. Always when communicating with someone it’s best to listen. You can say something about you and then let the others talk. Listening means that you pay attention, you are interested and it makes the other person fell good. Also smiling and always asking questions makes the person feel more comfortable and ready to answer. In this way the conversation goes on, without any effort.

Group Communication is especially important at work. In a team environment people need to work together in order to achieve something. If there is no understanding and no acceptance, no project will be successful. Communication involves also obeying some rules and keeping your calm. It’s known that large groups tend to be dominated by one or two people that talk much more than the others. Well it’s best to let everyone talk and express ideas.

Just as any communication, group communication needs patience, understanding, accepting opinions, exchanging ideas, bringing criticism and taking decisions. Each communication depends on the group. A group of friends will communicate better than a group of strangers. Work communication, team communication is just the same as a group of strangers only that you are united by a reason. Communicating is essential nowadays. We communicate with everyone, and without the ability to communicate we couldn’t be able to lead a normal life. Even blind people or deaf ones have created a language of their own, in order to communicate.

In the end, communicating, either way we choose to do it, has to have some rules that need followed. People should be more careful when communicating, because anything can be interpreted.
