Communication is something normal, some people would say. It`s true, we all communicate without paying much attention to the way we do it. From little kids we learn how to talk to people and how to express ourselves, but there is much more to it than just saying out loud some words. Communication is the process though which we send information. A communication needs a sender and a receiver. Communication can be seen as a two way process in which people exchange ideas, thoughts, feelings etc.
There are a few Types of Communication we all should be aware of. There is the verbal communication that is done orally, written and through email. The verbal communication is done though words and is the normal way we talk to others. Each communication needs to have some limits. For example a great communication means that the message you were trying to send has been understood clearly, even if it was written or oral. The written communication has also a lot of models. Each country has it`s own language and writing ways so, two foreigners could never understand each others message.
Other Type of Communication is the non verbal one. Non verbal means expressive behaviors and body language. Body language is as important as the oral communication. People besides their oral message, send messages through they body movements. Body language includes, posture, gesture face expressions. The tone of voice is also very important in communication. Many people don`t control their body language and so they are read like an open book. For example a person that is at a party , and stays in a corner, not socializing is obviously too shy or just doesn`t feel ok. People should pay more attention to their body language, because you wouldn`t want to send the wrong message.
There is also the formal communication and the informal one. Formal is used at work, at business meetings, gatherings, events etc. Informal communication is the one we have with friends, colleagues, family etc. The informal communication is used the most. There are also certain people that have problems with hearing or they don`t see. For them there has been invented another language through signs. Without communication we could understand each others and it would all be chaos. Communication skills are a must have when applying at a job , so at least read or inform yourself about these skills. To conclude, the Types of Communication that exist are all used. It`s important to know the difference between formal and informal, to know how to talk to a person you don`t know, or if you job implyes talking to clients. Communicating is the key to success. Many relationships have this problem also, they don`t communicate. Well, people need to talk in order to get along. In the end, communication is the base element in a normal life, so don`t forget, you need to know what communication is in order to have a pleasent conversation.
