Here are The Types of Communication in the 19th Century: first there was the telegraph. This was a machine that could send and receive messages by wire over long distances using Morse code. This was rather hard, but messages were received. Other ways to communicate was through letters. They would send letter by boats , even if they got two week later, because the boat didn`t had so much speed, their engines were weak, the important thing was that communication existed. When steam boats appeared the communication went a lot faster. When the telephone was invented people started to use it. It was quite amazing to be able to communicate with someone through a wire. The communication around the world, was quite slow, but after a few decades, technology started to develop. It has reached up to a point, where, nowadays, we can watch what is happening in other countries from our homes. Television has become colored television, the radio has developed, phones have transformed into cell phones and nowadays, phones that are a smart as a computer and have almost the same options. etc. The internet is a great invention and we enjoy it every day.
Communication is still changing every day. Year after year something new appears. We don`t know what to expect. In the rythm technology goes, in a few years our cars will fly and we won`t need engines and fuel. Communication as a base, starts from oral communication. We communicate between each other through words. There is also the body language communication. For example our gestures, posture, face expressions send a message. Back then, oral communication as well as body language was very important. We have change styles and vocabulary but the rules are still the same.
As a conclusion, there are many differences between the 19 century communication and the 21 century communication. Everything has changed, from ideas, mentality, to technology and life style. The only thing we are sure about is that communication will be present and as much important as it is now, even after 200 years. When we look back, in the 19 th century we can be proud of what have we become. Technology makes everything more easy so, we should feel lucky we live in these times.
