Your blog provides a lot of great information about communicating effectively! I think that “Never having scarcity of words”, “Having right body language”, and “Maintaining the right tone and expression” would help me greatly in my future career. I plan on being a teacher when I graduate college, so having the right communication skills is going to be very important.
I will have to work on not having scarcity of words because sometimes when I talk, I cant think of the right words to say or use the same words over and over. I know that practicing and learning new vocabulary will help me improve greatly. I have also noticed since I have been in college that my vocabulary has increased a lot and it is easier to write.
Having the right body language is very important when dealing with others that cannot communicate well themselves like, young children or disabled children or adults. I learned this when I worked as a nursing assistant. Some elderly people cannot use words to communicate and some cannot hear words, so communicating is difficult. I learned that body language plays a huge part in communicating. If your face shows a mad emotion, the person is not going to be comfortable with you. You may not think that your body language matters that much, but it does.
Maintaining the right tone and expression is also very important. When you are communicating with people that do not communicate well themselves, they may rely on your tone or expression as well as your body language. If your expression is mad or upset, but you are talking as if you are not, it may be confusing to the person listening to you or they may react to your expression not your words.
Communication can be very visual and it is important to know how to read others visually and present yourself visually while you are communicating.
