Technology has developed greatly in the last few years. There is a big difference between how we are today and what kind of technology was in let’s say the 80’s. The first technology items that appeared and that gave a new start were mobile phones. In 1973 Martin Cooper as the first that made the first phone call from a mobile phone. Only in 1990 people started to be more attracted by mobile phones. Before, they weren’t needed because no one had one. Communication was still done through letters or radio frequences.

Distance Communication Technology like mobile phones started to become popular after their shape, size and options were modified. Also the price back then was quite expensive for what people earned. Nowadays Distance Communication Technology is expressed through: GPS, mobile phones, internet , etc. People need distance communication because we travel all the time, we have relatives, friends all across the world so it’s normal to want to talk to them. For those people that travel a lot, laptops were invented. Laptops are just as computers only small enough to fit in a person’s lap. They are great for trips and business meetings. Also wireless internet is great for those that carry their laptop around and need the internet to work. Hotels, bars, restaurants have now all wireless internet.

Distance Communication Technology has increased considerably in the last few years. People started to get used to the idea of easy communication abroad and so, now everything that is released facilitates our communication. People need communication as we need air. Communication is essential nowadays. We communicate with friends, relatives, colleagues, strangers on the street, with everyone. The internet has facilitate our communication nowadays. There are lots of programs online that allow us to talk online with whom we choose to. For example there is the yahoo messenger, yahoo mail that allows us to send and receive mails, there are special websites where you can chat with others on certain topics etc.

The internet is a constant source of knowledge and it gathers people all over the world. The internet helps people communicate globally, so forget distance communication, how does globally sound? Everyone has a computer and internet at home, and if it hasn’t than it has on the cell phone. The internet is also a great way of finding your soul mate. There are special sites that support searching for your perfect someone.Websites such as Hi5. com or facebook all are great ways to communicate to people from all around the world. Some just want to look around, others to make friends and others to find someone to go out with.

In the end, distance communication is essential especially when you miss someone. Imagine what could have been if communication abroad didn’t exist. Imagine a life without phones, cars and internet. You can’t can’t you? well, if nowadays technology has reached such a great level, imagine in 20 years what will it be? any new gadget leads to another idea that leads to another and so on.
