Types of Barrier to Communication
Here are a few Types of Barrier to Communication : the physical barrier. The physical barrier consists in actual things that can block your vision and your hearing. When talking to someone it`s best to stay face to face so that nothing interrupts you two. Also another physical barrier can be distractions. Misperception is another barrier, and this one talks about not understanding clearly what the other person is saying. For example you think your friend is upset because of something when actually he is upset because of something else. Misperception is often encountered and it`s best to actually ask your partner what`s wrong. Not listening is one of the most common Types of Barrier in Communication. Many people ignore, look in other directions, or just say they are busy. All these things lead to a failed communication now and in the future also. Psychological interference is very hard to avoid. Those people that have problems at home, suffer from some reason, they have many things on their mind, are not able to listen and keep a conversation, because they are contantly thinking of something else. Also , the lack of experience can be a barrier in communication. For example in a relationship, the partners can`t have the same experience so, one knows more things than the other and so, keeping up is rather hard.
Culture and language can also be a very important barrier communication.Cultural traditions are hard to understand. For example in some cultures people custom to stay very close to each other while talking, whereas in others they keep a distance. Language can be a factor when having a conversation. If you don`t know the language then there is no conversation. Nonverbal cues is another barrier in communication. What are you saying has to match what are you doing. Body language is essential in communicating, that`s why we need to pay attention at our body gestures, posture, face expressions etc.
As a conclusion, there are many people that put this kind of barriers without even noticing. The most common barrier is not listening and always interrupting. When talking to someone, it`s crucial to always smile, pay attention , ask questions and enjoy yourself. There is no way you can communicate with someone if you don`t feel like it. All these barriers appear when people don`t have some communication skills.

This was rather hard, but messages were received. Other ways to communicate was through letters. They would send letter by boats , even if they got two week later, because the boat didn`t had so much speed, their engines were weak, the important thing was that communication existed. When steam boats appeared the communication went a lot faster. When the telephone was invented people started to use it. It was quite amazing to be able to communicate with someone through a wire. We communicate between each other through words. There is also the body language communication. For example our gestures, posture, face expressions send a message. Back then, oral communication as well as body language was very important. We have change styles and vocabulary but the rules are still the same.
As a conclusion, there are many differences between the 19 century communication and the 21 century communication. Everything has changed, from ideas, mentality, to technology and life style. The only thing we are sure about is that communication will be present and as much important as it is now, even after 200 years. Four Types of Communication
The second type of communication is the non verbal one. Non verbal refers to body language, the way we talk, our tone of voice, our gestures, posture, face expressions , movements etc. All these things are very important when talking to someone. A smile, a handshake, a face mimic can change entirely the conversation and the way the other person perceives us. The body language counts for 50 % in a conversation so, people should learn how to control their gestures. We can all tell when someone is not feeling well, not enjoying the party or not standing someone, just by looking at his/her face. Well, in order to communicate without showing your emotions , a person should learn to control them.
Besides these two types of communication we also have the formal communication and the informal one. formal is used in the office, at work, when doing business, when meeting new people , at special events etc. Formal means official, precise, strict and straightforward. Informal communication is more relaxed, it doesn`t involve any rule, and is the most commonly used type of communication. It`s very important to make the difference between a situation that requires formal or informal communication. In order to have a pleasant conversation on need to communication skills, but unfortunately not so many people know what this means.
All these Four Types of Communication are the most important ones. There are also other Four Types of Communication , but less known to the public: there is the assertive communication, aggressive, passive and passive-aggressive. The assertive one is the one we use everyday, the aggressive is done through manipulation and intimidation, the passive one is mostly used by people that are shy and don`t want to say something or to comment upon something in order to not start an argument. The last one, passive aggressive communication, is unfortunately used by many people, it involves manipulation. As a conclusion, communication is a domain some people just don`t know about. even if communication comes naturally, we have to learn how to improve our skills. We need communication in everything, especially if we have a job that requires talking to people. Nowadays more and more companies look for communication skills at their new employees rather than past experience. In the end, through communication we socialize, make friends etc. No one can stay alone, even those that can`t speak or can`t see have made a language of their own, communicating through signs.

Different Types of Nonverbal Communication
Communication hs four types. there is the verbal communication, the non verbal one, informal and formal. The verbal one refers to the spoken language we all know and talk and to the written communication. Non verbal means body language. Informal communication is the way we talk to each other every day, meaning casual conversations. And the formal one is very official, is usually seen at work, at business meetings, and with new people. Communication either way you look at is successful only if the message sent is clearly understood.
The Different Types of Nonverbal Communication are : gestures, posture, proxemics, paralinguistics, facial expressions, appearance, eye gaze, haptics etc. Our gestures are always interpreted for instance waving or pointing. We have to be careful what gestures we make in order to send the right message. Posture also gives a lot of information staying with your arms crossed or with your legs crossed means you are defensive and you won`t let nobody in. Proxemics is similar to „personal space” meaning the space you leave between you and the person you are talking too. Some people stay very close others prefer to stay at distance. Either option can be interpreted.Facial expressions are the most easy to read. When you are sad or upset your face frowns just as when you are happy you smile. Paralinguistics refers to tone of voice, loudness etc. For example if a person talks on a lower voice it could mean lack of interest and a loud speaker could be seen as very enthusiastic. Eye gaze includes looking and staring, glancing etc, and this could also be interpreted. Much of the flirting is done through eye gaze, through blinking. Appearance is very important. We judge a person after it`s appearance, hair style, clothes, colors etc. A person dressed in black could could mean that is not in a good mood or that likes to dress classic. The last one, haptics refers to touching. Communicating through touching is mostly between two people when getting intimate.
As a conclusion these are the Different Types of Nonverbal Communication. In order to have a successful communication we have to take in consideration these things also. Body language is as important as verbal communication so, we should pay attention, just for practice, to others body language.

We also communicate through Types of Mass Communication. These include : print media meaning, newspapers, magazines, anything that is released on the market under the form of paper. Even if it`s said that the electronic media has replaced the printed media, there are a lot of people that prefer this way. The electronic media includes television and radio. Television includes all the programs and all the entertainment we want. Through television we can receive any kind of information. Entertainment and media always go hand in hand. Mass media can be called or seen as a double-edged sword because of the positive and negative effects the mass media has on us.Also a new age technology is the internet that can also be called a mass communication. Everyone uses it, from little kids to elder people. The internet has had a great success all over the world and now we can communicate with anyone that has internet on his computer, either he is from the same country or from thousand of miles away. The internet includes, blogging, messaging, mails, websites, internet tv etc.
As a conclusion, Mass Communication is benefic for everyone , it just depends what message and what kind of information we receive. Mass communication sends through television, radio and internet any kind of information, either good or bad. We have everything we want to know, if we want to know about what are the lions from jungle doing, we can easily find out. The idea is that television is not for everyone, some tv shows are not good for children, just as accessing the internet on different sites is not appropriate for a child.

Different Types of Communication Medium
There are a few Different Types of Communication we use daily without even noticing, such as : verbal communication that includes oral communication, written communication and e-mail. This is the most used one, we all talk to each other and use words.. The written one involves letters, notes, memos etc. We also have Non verbal communication that refers to body language, expressive behaviors etc. Body language as important as verbal communication because our body is our visit card. Through our body language we send a message. Like we said before communication is a two way process so we have to be careful through what we send what kind of message. Our face expression can betray what we are trying to say. Body language includes face expression, body movements, gestures, posture , proxemities, haptics, appearance, paralinguistics etc.Other Different Types of Communication Mediums are : formal communication, used at gatherings, and business meetings etc. Formal means adopting a certain conduct, a certain way to talk to others etc. This formal communication has rules , is strict and a small gesture can end the conversation disastrously. Informal communication refers to ordinary language, the vocabular we use every day with friends and people we know. A true conversationalist and a person that has communication skills knows to make the difference between these two. It`s essential to know when to use formal and when to use informal.
Communication can also exist through other forms than just these ones . For example deaf people have developed a language of their own in order to communicate. They communicate through signs, a language invented especially for them . Many normal people know this language. You see, communication is very important otherwise one couldn`t make friends and socialize, obtain what he needs.communicating means staying alive and sociable. I don`t think there is a person out there that doesn`t communicate with others. We communicate on the street without even paying attention or wanting to. Body language, face mimics, gestures etc all these send a certain message. Even if the message says „leave me alone”, it`s still a way to communicate.
As a conclusion the Different Types of Communication we use and the Mediums though which we do it is our problem. We just need to know when to talk in a certain way, when to listen, and when to smile. We learn to communicate from little children, but as we grow older communication becomes more pretentious.
